North West London Jewish Day School

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility at North West London Jewish Day School. We are committed to creating a safe environment where children can learn, play and grow with confidence. Our staff follow clear safeguarding procedures, receive regular training, and know how to respond to concerns about a child’s welfare or safety.

If you have any concerns about a child’s wellbeing, you should raise them promptly with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or the appropriate safeguarding contact. This includes concerns about a child’s physical, emotional or mental health, changes in behaviour, or any information that may indicate a risk of harm. We will listen carefully, record concerns appropriately and, where necessary, work with relevant agencies to ensure the right support is provided.

We also encourage parents to help us by sharing relevant information and reinforcing safe practices at home. This includes talking with children about trusted adults, staying safe online, and reporting worries without delay. By working together—parents, carers and school—we can protect children and ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do.
